The Lego movie is now officially the top grossing film at the UK box office with an ample amount of earnings of $53 million.

The movie depicts an ordinary construction worker who is believed to be "The Special". He will bring down the established government system and free the whole world at the same time.

Its powerhouse cast of voice actors consist of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks,Will Arnett, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

It has received mostly positive reviews. A critic has described the movie as "freshly inventive."

The movie also makes pop culture references ranging from Star Wars to Batman.

Its popularity has risen in both children and adults. A news sources states that the sales of Lego toys shot up that it led to a shortage by September.

It has become one of the "surprise" movie hits of the year. It has surpassed its genre and became one of the most memorable cinematic experiences in 2014.

In second place is the movie The Inbetweeners. While the sci-fi movie Dawn of the Planet of the Apes places third, earning $50 million.

If the movie Guardians Of The Galaxy topped the box office in the United States, it only landed on 6th place in the UK box office earning $44 million.

If Transformers: Age Of Extinction topped the worldwide box office, in the UK list it was nowhere to be found.

A sequel is currently in the works. Lego Movie 2 will probably hit the theaters by 2018. A spinoff of a Lego film, Lego Batman, will be released by 2017.
