Television
TVs are certainly a hot commodity among electronic consumers and 4k resolution is undoubtedly the biggest trend right now when it comes to TV displays.
Vizio recently announced a P-Series 50-inch TV with an UltraHD display for $1,000, which seems like an attractive price when compared to similar models. Consumers can expect many companies to unveil their own 4k resolution displays during the CES event, which should lead to price wars and ultimately turning UltraHD TVs into mainstream products.
Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality has made great strides within the tech industry as of late, and consumers can certainly expect a number of companies unveiling new hardware and software for its VR products.
FaceBook's newly acquired popular virtual reality headset known as Oculus Rift is expected to present more content demonstrations during the event. There are also rumors that the company could potentially be announcing a launch date for a consumer version of the Oculus Rift as well.
Samsung's Gear VR headset, which is already available for consumers to purchase, is expected to make demonstrations along with many more companies introducing virtual reality tech.
Gaming
While new gaming consoles and video games are certainly popular among electronic consumers, gaming at CES is always an uncertainty. This is because the gaming industry has its own annual event called E3 where some of the biggest gaming companies would rather unveil upcoming products.
That doesn't mean there won't be any gaming demonstrations however. As technology gets smaller and faster, consumers can expect a number of PC tech advancements. Additionally, Valve, the creator of Steam - a digital distribution and multiplayer platform, is expected to be showing demonstrations of its upcoming Steam Machine by third-party manufacturers.
