'The Newsroom' Star Alison Pill Announces Engagement

Despite the end of her hit HBO TV show, The Newsroom, Alison Pill now has a new reason to celebrate.
The star, who plays Maggie Jordan in the recently ended series kicks off the new year with a big revelation-she's getting married to her boyfriend, Joshua Leonard.
Pill took to social media to announce the good news:

Breaking news from the newsroom! Alison Pill is getting married!
"Let's do this, 2015!!! @theJoshuaLeonard," Pill captioned on her Instagram post as she posed with her beau while holding up her hand to showcase her ring at Joshua Tree National Park in California.
The Newsroom co-star Olivia Munn excitedly responds to her post:
"OMG!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!"
The couple was spotted last week enjoying the holidays together, with Pill sharing snippets of their Christmas celebrations.
"One from Christmas," Pill posted on a photo featuring a Christmas tree. "Me and @TheJoshualeonard decorating the tree. #Ornaments #Pillfamilycelebration."
This will be the first marriage for Pill who was previously in a relationship with actor, Jay Baruchel before the couple ended their relationship in 2014. The actress joins numerous Hollywood personalities tying the knot or announcing their engagements over the holidays, including Joseph Gordon Levitt and Alice Eve who both wed their respective significant others, and Ludacris, who just got engaged.
The actress' impressive filmography includes cult hits such as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, the critically acclaimed film, Milk and more recently, the Chris Evans indie sci-fi and runaway hit, Snowpiercer. She will next be seen in the film, Cooties, a horror comedy opposite Lord of the Rings star, Elijah Wood.
