Pop star Jennifer "J. Lo" Lopez, rapper Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia "Claudinha" Leitte perform in the opening ceremonies of the FIFA World Cup 2014.
The song "We Are one (Ole Ola)" by Pitbull featuring J. Lo and Claudinha is the official song of this year's World Cup. Previous song was "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" performed by Shakira during the 2000 World Cup in South Africa.
The opening ceremonies, which cost a hefty $9 million, started off with a parade featuring a colorful display of various costumes, Mardi Gras (Carnival) style, as to what Brazil is known for throughout the world.
At the end of the ceremonies, Pitbull stepped on stage in front of a packed Sao Paulo stadium, followed by J. Lo, wearing a revealing green colored outfit, and Claudinha; and sang the official song that brought the house down.
Pitbull was born in Miami, Florida by Cuban expatriates and has collaborated with J. Lo in a couple of songs in J. Lo's "Love?" album namely: "Fresh Out of the Oven" and certified hit "On the Floor" which is the highest single of J Lo's career that debuted at number nine in the Billboard Hot 100.
J. Lo, whose priced asset is her $27 million buttocks, is not the only one who insured a bodily part for a huge amount of money. Soccer star David Beckham needed to protect his legs from injury insured it for a humungous amount of $195 million. Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who played for Portugal during the 2010 World Cup, also had his legs insured for a measly $144 million after suffering from a minor leg injury.
Cluadinha is one of the most famous singers in Brazil and sold over a million albums during her solo career and is one of the mentors in the popular television show, the Brazilian version of "The Voice".
