After an ant-sized teaser to the teaser followed by a proper human-sized look at the clip, the first, full trailer for Marvel's new superhero flick, Ant-Man is finally here.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the film features Paul Rudd as con-man Scott Lang who was given the chance to help his mentor, brilliant scientist Dr. Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas, pull off a massive heist by embracing his inner hero.

Surprisingly, despite having Paul Rudd in the lead role, an actor recently known for his comedic chops, the trailer felt quite heavy and somber. Here and there, fans were given some quips but the shift from the upbeat and comedic tone of the film preceding it, Guardians of the Galaxy.
For those who don't yet know, Ant-Man has the ability to shrink in size but grow in strength via a technology that Dr. Hank Pym invented.
Comic book fans have speculated that Ant-Man might be Marvel's most personal film to date, particularly from a character standpoint. Note that Ant-Man isn't necessarily saving the world, yet, in this film, which makes it particularly refreshing for fans of the cinematic offerings from the production company.
The trailer debuted today after Marvel's latest series, Agent Carter ended its two hour season premiere.
Ant-Man, which is slated to open on July 17, 2015 also stars Evangeline Lilly, last seen in The Hobbit trilogy, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Greeg Turkington, T.I. and John Slattery.
Simultaneous to the release of its first trailer is the poster reveal for the film.
