Hong Kong singer-songwriter and actor Jacky Cheung denies the rumors that he and his manager, Florence Chan, had fallen out due to issues that involved money.
Cheung, who is supposed to have an anniversary concert this coming April and May at the Hong Kong Coliseum has recently announced that he would postpone the show to a later date, saying that he wanted more time for the upcoming show. It has also previously been reported that he will be producing the concert himself with the help of his record label, Universal Music, which left his long time manager, Chan, out of the picture.

The 53-year old artist's decisions and announcements had paved way to rumors that he has purposefully left Chan, who has been producing concerts for the singer for a long time now, due to problems with money.
According to media outlets, the rumor claimed that the singer and his manager have had a disagreement after the distribution of profits from the concert tour had been decided. Cheung allegedly stopped working with Chan after said dispute and has decided to produce the concert himself.
However, in a recent run-in with the media, Cheung denied the claims, saying that his decisions were dictated by the changing times in the music industry. The singer stated that although he has been working with Universal Music for three decades now, he thought that it was time for him to have a change in image and producing his own concert was a good way to reach his goals.
In addition, he emphasized that he didn't have a problem with Chan, adding that he may have to work with her in the future.
Furthermore, Chan also denied the allegations, claiming that the reports were 'twisted'. To support her claim, she stated that she had given Cheung much freedom in terms of his own production.
Universal Music has also released a statement which states that Chan has never been Cheung's official manager and that their alliance in productions was merely built on friendship. The company added that it was true that Chan booked the April concert, but since Cheung wished to prepare more thoroughly, the concert date had to be moved.
