Jason Momoa has been rumored to play Aquaman since last year. He may not be the typical superhero that fans often see but he certainly has the physical attributes to play the role of Aquaman.
According to reports, Momoa, 34, who played the roles of Khal Drogo (HBO's Game of Thrones) and Conan in the 2011 adaptation of Conan the Barbarian, has been chosen by Warner Bros to play Aquaman in the new “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” a few months ago.

However, Warner Bros has declined to give further information regarding Jason Momoa’s role in the superhero movie, although veteran film critic and screenwriter Drew McWeeny said that the actor will play Aquaman.
McWeeney also reported that Zack Snyder has already finalized the designs of the characters for the movie and that shooting the film could commence any time soon.
‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ would serve as prequel to the upcoming superhero movie ‘Justice League.’ Warner Bros intends to also launch the character of Aquaman in the “Batman v Superman” film.
Aquaman fans may argue that Jason Momoa the Atlantean’s golden locks, but he is certainly in good shape after playing the role of Khal Drogo in the hit HBO series ‘Game of
Thrones’ and when he played the lead role of Conan in the remake of ‘Conan the Barbarian.’
Jason Momoa has been denying rumors that he will play Aquaman. Last month at a comic-con event in Bucharest, he said he couldn’t see himself taking on the role of Aquaman.
“I know Aquaman! I couldn’t even be more random for Aquaman, you know, with the blonde hair,” Momoa said. “I don’t even know where that [rumor] comes from.”
Momoa said he often sees reports on the Internet that he will play the role of Aquaman, but said he more likely sees himself playing the role of Lobo, an alien interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter from the DC universe.
Whether Momoa gets the role Aquaman has already become a viable superhero to be portrayed in live-action movies.
In fact, CW network aired a pilot Aquaman in 2006. Unfortunately, the show failed to draw viewers to watch it.
Fans are on the lookout if Momoa would play Aquaman in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.’ The movie’s scheduled release is on May 6, 2016.
