Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla Motors, chose to answer questions from the website Reddit about rockets and everything in between after the delayed launch of the Falcon 9 SpaceX vehicle carrying supplies to the International Space Station.

The questions were included in Reddit's "Ask Me Anything" forum about the Falcon 9 rocket and the mechanical functions of the launch and the unique landing system.

Musk also talked about his lifestyle, including his favorite video games and even his chosen poison.  He also posted a YouTube cat video during the forum. Here are some interesting tidbits that space fans learned about Musk. 

Musk is very concerned about personal hygiene and says showering everyday is the one daily habit that has had a large positive impact on his life.

Not only is he involved in space exploration and space tourism, including the colonizing of Mars in the near future, Musk is also deeply interested and involved in electric cars. He's also the chairman of a solar leasing company called SolarCity.

A Reddit user asked him how he became knowledgeable about a vast array of topics so fast. To learn more, one must think of knowledge as a "semantic tree" and understand that the tree trunk and its branches are pivotal in gaining knowledge before other further details such as the leaves.

When it comes to sleeping habits, he admits he doesn't get the standard eight hours a night as he thinks six hours is enough to rejuvenate his system.

Musk also fondly remembers his mentor. His best teacher was his elementary school principal who taught math. This principal accelerated the syllabus by one year and Musk remembered that the students worked hard when his teacher told stories about his time as a World War II soldier.

Despite his knowhow and vast knowledge, Musk said he's highly unlikely to join politics. His favorite cuisine is French. He loves a good old barbecue and his preferred drink is whiskey.

Musk makes time to catch up with his favorite video games such as Bioshock, Fallout and Mass Effect. He's also a big fan of Warcraft.
