Remix: the Android Tablet that might Replace Your Laptop

The Remix tablet developed by three former Google engineers is intended as the gadget that could possibly replace the laptop.
The Remix tablet, which runs the Android OS, was introduced Wednesday during CES 2015. It was developed by a Chinese company called "Jide".
It has an 11.6-inch screen whose edge has a trapezoid shape similar to that of Microsoft Surface phablets. Remix also has a kickstand and a magnetically attached keyboard. Its connectors, however, are limited to a headphone jack and a micro USB port.

The Android-based tablet is connected to Google's Play store so users could access a lot of apps.
"We just want to make tablets better. We're just geeks. We're very good at writing code," said Remix CEO Jeremy Chou.
The Remix is powered by Nvidia Tegra 4 processor and runs 2 GB of RAM. It weighs 1.89 pounds and it is 0.37 inch thin.
The screen resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 and it has a 16:9 display. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Chou said the OS will be upgraded to the 5.0 Lollipop version this April.
Remix's 64 GB version is at US$449 while the 16 GB version is at US$349.
The tablet is already being sold in China and Remix will be available in the United States by February with the help of a Kickstarter campaign.
