Chris Evans Plays a Real Life Hero for Betty White

Chris Evans is not only a hero on-screen, he's a true blue hero off it as well.
At the recent People's Choice Awards, legendary actress, Betty White was called up on stage to accept her award the Favorite TV Icon; and Evans was quick to offer a helping hand to Golden Girls star.

In a brief clip, Evans was seen jumping up off his seat to offer the 93-year-old icon his hand and escort him up the stage.
But recent news regarding the Marvel Avenger's gallant efforts off screen have been making the rounds as well. Prior to this adorably moment in the People's Choice Awards, Evans was seen trying to cheer up a child battling cancer.
The ever gallant actor will next be seen in the romantic comedy, Playing It Cool as a lovelorn screenwriter and Marvel's highly anticipated follow up to Avengers, Age of Ultron where he reprises his role as Captain America alongside Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlet Johannson (Black Widow). His directorial debut also gets a 2015 release. Screened at the Toronto festival in 2014, his romantic drama, Before We Go is schedule to hit theaters in the first quarter of the year, where he stars opposite Alice Eve.
Evans himself won an award for the evening as the Favorite Action Movie Actor. Other notable actors, actresses and Hollywood personalities who took home awards for the evening were Melissa McCarthy, Ed Sheeran, Ben Affleck, Marvel co-star Robert Downey Jr., Matt Bomer, Ellen Pompeo, Adam Sandler, Chloe Grace Moretz, Patrick Dempsey, Nathan Fillon, Kristin Kreuk, Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, Pharell Williams, Taylor Swift, Iggy Azalea.
