Nintendo came up with a gaming console which no one is interested in -- the Wii U. Ironically, some of its most popular games such as Super Mario, Donkey Kong, etc. can only be played with the the Wii U console.
Unlike in the past, Nintendo would choose a press conference to launch a product. This it opted to present using a digital venue -- the Nintendo Direct Video Stream -- during the E3 2014 conference. Those who were used to Nintendo's previous approach to product launch thought that the company is already losing its touch.

Some said the presentation was a mess, while others see it as Nintendo's riskier side. Many in the audience said Nintendo capitalized on its solid fanbase and were successful in promoting a not so new console in an exciting way.
If you're one of the company's fans, these are a couple of games you can really look forward to at E3 2014.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
Super Mario 3D World was the most popular games launched by Nintendo in the last couple of years. However, one of its chief highlights was the Toad's puzzle in which you go through a twisted 3D maze using a toad which had a helmet on.
In the 3D world version, the mazes were limited. But in Captain Toad there are a lot of worlds to enjoy, and a lot of puzzles too.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U
Super Smash Bros. for both 3DS and Wii U are very different. If you are a fan of Smash Bros. you are going to love these versions. That being said, chances are that you will like to enjoy Wii U version more since the other version is pared down.
Mario Maker
Now, Mario Maker could easily be the chief attraction of the E3. In this you get to create your own Super Mario Bros. levels. How cool is that! You can experiment with the tools and elements of the game and have a blast.
