This latest technology is created by Kiwi Wearables, a Canadian start-up company. With Glance, you can do a number of things -- you can controlyour Smart TV, get alerts for incoming calls and messages and includes tracking movements, just to mention a few.

Compared with other smartwatches, Glance can run for a long time without the need of recharging. Based on Kiwi tests, Glance's charge could last for about an entire week without charging. You can charge it via a USB port and that's how as simple as it gets.

One of the key highlights of Glance is its 3D motion sensor that can help users measure movements. For instance, it can tell how many steps you have taken, or how many miles have you covered on foot. Plus, it is waterproof too.

To fund the product, the Kiwi team is planning to raise an amount of US$150,000 by the end of June. As of now, they have about US$41,000 that was provided by 500 contributors collectively.

If and when Glance is launched, it is expected that it will give a tough rivalry to present smart watches in the market, by companies such as Sony and Samsung. However, the exact influence in the market of Glance will be known only with time.
