Have you ever wanted a device capable of charging your mobile device in just minutes? Here's the StoreDot battery.
StoreDot, which is based in Israel, has recently been the recipient of US$42 million in funding, according to the Teche Blog. This device is touted to have the ability to charge smartphones and other mobile devices in half a minute or even less.

So what makes this battery different from those that we have in the market today?
The answer is the solution it uses to generate electrons. Traditional batteries make use of an electrolyte solution for this process.
The StoreDot battery, on the other hand, utilizes what's referred to as a quantum dot nanocrystal solution. This component of the battery is 500 percent more powerful than the one used in conventional batteries.
CEO Doron Myersdorf explained they've used non-traditional reactions that allow StoreDot to charge at a very fast rate. StoreDot device is also organic.
Of course, the device is far from being perfect. There are a few things that should be improved upon, with one of them being its huge size. Another is the fact that the existing prototype isn't compatible with current smartphones
