Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has left a subtle hint on the next smartphone launch, coming on Jan. 15. The message is hidden in a jumbled maze of letters, and crackers of the code find the message says:
"Our new flagship is the Redmi Note, thinner, larger, lighter, faster, hifi-sound, and all glass laminate." Pointing to the launch of the Redmi Note 2 on Jan. 15.

It is a bit early for the second Redmi Note, as most analysts predicted the Xiaomi Mi5 or Mi4S would come first, but it looks like Xiaomi is changing the game in 2015. The Redmi range is the most valuable to Xiaomi, selling 18 million units in 2013, including 3.4 million Redmi Note units. Xiaomi is reportedly looking for more than 10 million Redmi Note 2 sales this year.
Customers should expect a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) display, quad-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 13MP rear camera. Xiaomi will fit the Redmi Note 2 with a 3100mAh battery, for a good day of use.
One of the most interesting parts of the leak is the "all glass laminate," pointing to both sides featuring a Gorilla Glass finish. This did not go well for the iPhone 4, with thousands of reports of cracking, but Xiaomi is reportedly unaffected.
The Redmi Note 2 should be available within the range of $149 to $199, similar to the recently announced Redmi 2.
Xiaomi has not announced any new markets in 2015, but it is still very early days. Reports say Russia, Brazil, Mexico and the U.S. could be potential spots this year, for the Chinese smartphone maker to expand.
