At age 11, Lucy Li has accomplished more than the average girl in the world and added to her list is being the youngest golfer ever to play in the United States Women's Open along with the best female golfers from around the globe.

Li will be playing Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in the same course where recent US Open men's winner German Martin Kraymer played.
During Tuesday's rounds she played three-time Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour winner Spaniard Beatriz Recari in the back nine.
When asked if Li was nervous about this week's tournament after the practice rounds, she replied, "Not really. I just want to go out there and have fun and play the best I can and I really don't care about the outcome, it's just I want to have fun and learn. I can learn a lot from these great players."
In the very first annual Drive, Chip and Putt Championship held last April, Li won the Girls 10-11 age division televised on the Golf Channel. This event was held in order to stir up the participation of youth in sports.
"I like golf because it's different from other sports. Anybody can play it, if you're tall, short, fast or slow, that's what I like about it," said 5-foot-1 Li. "I have tried dancing, I really like dancing. I do table tennis, swimming, I love diving, badminton."
"It's awesome, right? I mean Pinehurst and Augusta National in like two months," Li added. "I mean that's just amazing. It's mind-blowing for me. I went to look at Amen Corner and it was so beautiful."
Li lives with her parents, Warren and Amy, at Redwood Shores, California. She spends four months of the year staying with her Aunt Tao in Florida to train.
When Li was 7 years old, her parents arranged a meeting with former youngest golfer to qualify in the U.S. Women's Open Lexi Thompson's coach Jim McLean at the Trump National Doral Miami. And this is the time when McLean began working with her.
