The Elba Elementary School in New York suspended three female Grade 4 students who planned to kill their teacher using hand sanitizer. The teacher is allergic to anti-bacterial hand sanitizer and prohibited the item from the classroom.

The three pupils then spread hand sanitizer on various things that their teacher would touch in the hope of killing the tutor. They also shared the plan with their classmates.

However, a mother of one of the three naughty students learned about their plan and alerted the school. But another set of parents admitted they heard of the plot but preferred to keep quiet.

The school principal called the police and set a meeting with the girls and their parents.

According to one of the students, they don't like the teacher who yells at them. She added the whole class has problems with that particular teacher.

No charges were filed since the teacher was not harmed. Under the juvenile laws of New York state, the girls must have committed a felony or misdemeanor for them to be charged.

The police want to refer the problem to the youth court, but the school preferred to handle it internally, said Chief Deputy Jerome Brewster of the Genesee County Sheriff's Department, reports News.com.au.

Because the incident came out in media, Elba Superintendent Jerome Piwko said in a statement, "This event has been a shock to our community and school."

However, he added, "The District cannot comment on the specifics of this event, including discipline, as the information is protected from disclosure under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. The reports in the media and on social media do not accurately reflect the entire event."
