It has been confirmed that pop singer Katy Perry will be performing with rock musician Lenny Kravitz at the halftime show of the Super Bowl in February.

The two will have a duet on stage, but the song they are about to perform has not been revealed. Perry officially announced this during her interview on NBC, which was shown during the playoff game between Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots on Saturday.

The pop star also made a short post on her Twitter tipping it off to her fans before the playoffs began on Saturday.

"I have a big surprise announcement coming up at halftime of this Ravens-Patriots game," she tweeted.

She specifically said her first guest will be this incredible rock and roll icon and known guitar god, Lenny Kravitz. She said some positive things about the rock star like how he has got so much style and how cool he is. She calls him the king of cool and believes he is going to make her so much cooler when they collaborate on stage during the huge event.

Perry was one of the few artists confirmed in November to perform on this year's halftime show at the Super Bowl. It is one of the most watched and highly anticipated sporting events in America and also has a lot of viewers abroad.

Lots of famous artists once graced this event like Madonna, The Rolling Stones, The Black Eyed Peas and Paul McCartney, to name a few. Last year's halftime Super Bowl was made popular by Bruno Mars along with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Super Bowl XLIX will be on February 1 in Glendale, Arizona.
