This Monday, owing to the released updates, the famous music app iHeartRadio just got smarter. Now, it has an improved layout and can recommend music faster than before.

The updated version of iHeartRadio app is not only easier to use, but also has a streamlined design, with intuitive controls. Once a user has launched the app he or she will be prompted to choose favorite genres, and to input most preferred radio stations.

"The entire release itself is about streamlining, simplifying and personalizing the app for our listeners to make it easier to get into a listening experience that's more relevant to them," Brian Lakamp, Clear Channel's president of digital stated.

The updated app has faster and more accurate algorithms, which are responsible for faster music recommendations.  The affect of these could be clearly seen in the app's new For You feature.

"This is our first big step in recommendation," Lakamp said. "Since we launched the custom station product we've been modifying the algorithm. We've improved the algorithm to make it more of what you want, sooner."

The company also revealed that the app's future update will add Chromecast support to the apps. Also, a new smartwatch based app is in the works, which is specifically designed for the Samsung's Galaxy Gear.

reviously, the company had announced that it will be working on some apps for Apple's CarPlay, which is a kind of infotainment system. CarPlay allows iPhone users to make use of their handset for certain features from the dashboard of the car.
