The station has not yet settled its financial obligations to its cutting, despite the fact that it has already cut back on expenses and sold low-cost adverts. Furthermore, the company is also finding it really difficult to give their employees even the basic benefits.
The company has already reduced cafeteria hours, which only operates from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, causing utmost dismay among staff and artists since many of them are actually giving their best to deliver quality work to the company. The company's cafeteria has also gone through changes, like no longer serving combo meal plans and noodles.
Nevertheless, the strong opposition from company workers compelled ATV to resume normal cafeteria hours January 12.The company already admitted that it is indeed facing difficulty to settling employees' salaries earlier. ATV spokesperson Wong Sau Tung said that "there are a lot of colleagues that are on vacation in January and adjustments had to be made to the janitorial staffing. But we will ensure a sufficient number of employees."
