If you're tired of headphones that won't fit you, we've got the answer. With the help of a 3D scan, you'll no longer worry about ill-fitting headphones that distract you from your music.
Audio companies have been trying for years to make headphones stay in place. But it's been revealed at CES that customized earpieces would probably be the best thing for you.

Harman, a company that works with United Sciences, has used 3D scanning technology to mold the perfect headphones for every user. The headphones are designed to have optimum fit, sound, and comfort.
"This is the beginning of our innovation efforts into the world of 'mass personalized' wearables, that can be fine-tuned to individuals' physical and physiological differences. Such custom-fit earpieces will improve current biometrics by reducing the processing power required to filter noise because of bad contact with the skin," said I.P. Park, vice president of Harman.
The 3D scanner scans the movement of one's head; one's ear canal and basically measures one's ear size. The results of the scan are used by image processing software to design the product.
A "MakerBot Replicator Mini" is used to print the parts of the customized ear pieces. Once printed, the parts will be injected with silicone so it fits you perfectly. The process takes about an hour.
