The 40-year-old Big Eyes grabbed the Oscar for Best Actress in Comedy or Musical for her stirring portrayal as Margaret Meade.
"It was a great job out of high school," referring to her worl.
"I was a hostess at first and then I waited tables for a while and it was a great way to earn money for a car!"
The five-time Oscar nominated actress poked that she used to be more curvaceous before that she is right now.
The critically-acclaimed leading lady has since traded that trademark Hooters uniform for elegant gowns.
Adams, whose most popular films include Enchanted, Julie & Julia, and American Hustle, first opened about her stint as a Hooters waitress in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2008.
From her work she realized a lot in life, like "short shorts and beer don't mix!" she said, and that "the nicest guy walking in is not necessarily the nicest guy after two pitchers of beer."
She was also thankful to have the job then as she was paid $7 an hour which "was double the minimum wage," back then.
However, she also said that working as a Hooter's waitress wasn't really the one for she.
"That was a short-lived ambition," the actress quipped in another interview.
