A man from Ohio has been indicted on charges of threatening to murder Republican House Speaker John Boehner by putting poison in his drinks in a country club.
The man identified as Michael Robert Hoyt was arrested on January 7 after he threatened Boehner last October.

Hoyt was dismissed from his job as a bartender due to criminal complaints and arrest warrants records. He has also been treated for psychotic episode and has been prescribed with a medication but he reportedly stopped taking it.
The 44-year-old Hoyt, who worked at the Wetherington Country Club in West Chester, Ohio, told the police that he regretted the lack of time to put something in Boehner's drink.
Hoyt added that he often poured drinks for Boehner and it was easy to slip something in the drink as no one ever checks them. He admitted that he needed to kill Boehner but later said that he had no intention of harming himself, Boehner or anyone else.
Hoyt also told officials that he was Jesus Christ and believed that Boehner is a devil. He also claims that Boehner who was mean to him at the country club, is responsible for the spread of Ebola.
According to the club, Hoyt was fired due to his bad attitude at work and that, there were numerous complaints from the members about him but Hoyt believes Boehner and other members conspired to get him fired.
In an email sent last October 28, 2014 to Boehener's wife, Hoyt said that if he had any intention of really hurting the speaker, he would have poisoned his wine a lot of times in the said Country Club.
In an interview with Boehner, he said that he knew the bartender from Wetherington and claims he never had any negative interactions with him.
Boehner reportedly thanks the FBI, the Capitol Police and other officials who are working on the case.
Hoyt is still kept in prison as officials are still determining if he has a mental disease. He might be transferred to another facility soon, since he is still seen as a threat to the speaker.
