Benedict Cumberbatch Talks Fan Nickname, Baby Names and Photobombing Meryl Streep

Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch stops by Ellen earlier this week where the English actor candidly talks about his engagement, discuss baby names for the recently announced baby he's expecting with fiancé, Sophie Hunter and what it was like to photobomb Meryl Streep.
The actor, who famously photobombed the band U2 on the red carpet the previous year has always maintained that it was a "one off," but with Streep and Margaret Cho (dressed as a North Korean journalist) playing out a brief skit for the audience at this week's Golden Globes, the actor apparently, just couldn't help it.

Meryl Streep and someone from North Korea stood right in front of me for about 5 minutes trying to take a photograph," said Cumberbatch. "This is ridiculous; I just jumped up into the camera."
The contentious topic of the moniker his fans have assigned themselves also came up. Cumberbatch, who is famously uncomfortable with the idea that his gaggle of fans call themselves "Cumberb*tches" talked about reaching out to fans and telling them about his reservations about the nickname.
"I just went, 'Ladies, this is wonderful. I'm very flattered, but has this not set feminism back a little bit? Empower yourselves if you're going to get silly about a guy with maybe a little bit more of a sort of you know a high-regard, self-regard thing,' " he revealed. "But yeah, they were very sweet. They wrote back and were like, 'Well, we didn't mean any harm to feminism; we're just having a little bit of fun with your name.'"
The actor, who is expecting his first child with fiancé, Sophie Hunter, was also treated to the host's slew of baby name ideas. Included in the list of Ellen's suggestions were, Englebert, Harpsichord, Glockenspiel and Carl.
According to Ellen-with a last name like Cumberbatch, he definitely has to be careful about choosing the first name of his kid.
