Taylor still reigns supreme at the charts, as her album 1989 remains No. 1 for the ninth nonconsecutive week at the Billboard 200.

1989 sold 155,000 units in the week ending Jan. 11, data from Nielsen Music  can reveal, although sales went on a steep decline by 36 percent compared to the previous week's.

Nielsen Music now measures traditional album sales, as well as track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA) to determine which album makes it to the charts.

1989 also leads the chart's Top Album Sales chart, which determines the best selling albums on pure record sales. 1989 sold 111,000 copies last week, a steep decline by 35 percent from previous week's. So far, 1989 has made 3.94 million copies if it breaches the 4 million-mark, 1989 would become her fourth studio album to hold the record.

Ed Sheeran's X, meanwhile, rose to No. 2 with 76,000 units sold, 34,000 of which came from record sales.

Nick Minaj's The Pinkprint drops to No. 3 with 60,000 units sold.

Steady at No. 4 is Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour with 57,000 units sold.

This week's lone debut, Hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd 's SremmLife lands at No. 5, selling 49,000 units in its first week.
