Facebook has acquired yet another startup company. The new acquisition, Quickfire Networks, provides services and assistance to users that want to access high quality videos but have to settle for low bandwidths.
QuickFire Networks confirmed its acquisition by the largest social media operator in a blog post. Specific details and information about the purchase wasn't revealed, however.

It 's also worth noting the video processing startup was purchased by Facebook just one day after it posted a blog boasting of the huge number of views it's gotten since June 2014. Quickfire Networks said the number of views reached over one billion.
Facebook wants its users to access and view videos on the site more efficiently, said PC World.
The San Diego-based transcoding company develops technologies that decrease the bandwidth required to buffer videos online. It does so in such a way that the quality isn't compromised.
It claims its technology has the ability to boost the quality of videos without the files going through a considerable size increase.
