Facebook At Work Launched, Free Social Business Platform

Facebook might be seen as one of the least useful websites for efficiency in the workplace, but as more companies adopt new work communication services like Slack, Yammer and IBM's Verse, a private Facebook service might be the perfect solution.
This is what Facebook's new service, named 'Work', intends to achieve. Work allows businesses to create a private network, where only business employees can chat.

Facebook has integrated News Feed, Facebook Messenger, Groups and Events. The manager of the online business will be able to add new events, updates and create group conversations, for faster communication between employees.
The icing on the cake is Facebook Work is currently free, and does not collect data on business users or show targeted ads. It is possible Facebook will look to monetize through a subscription later on, but for now this seems to be an optimal solution.
Even though Facebook has over 1 billion users on its regular service, having businesses use Facebook could be highly valuable, as the company looks to connect every organization onto its social platform.
Facebook may lack some of the communication tools other services offer, but it is unlikely new staff will need training on how to use Facebook, since the social network has kept most of the features on its Work platform.
Beta testers will be able to try out Facebook Work and see if it is right for them. The scalability of Facebook has already been shown on its regular service, allowing people with 30 friends or 3,000 friends to connect.
For large businesses, Facebook Work may allow the business to incorporate different Groups, and in those groups may be sub-groups. Not everyone has to necessarily be friends with every single worker, and Facebook will hopefully integrate more features before launch.
Facebook Work is available on iOS, Android and the web.
