Taiwanese actor Kai Ko speaks up about his controversial breakup with Mando-pop singer Elva Hsiao for the first time, saying that he scared the Taiwanese diva away because of his 'childishness'.

Following his high-profile breakup with Hsiao, Ko tried to avoid discussing the issue with the media and would almost always show a sour mood whenever the topic is being broached. However, this time, the actor seemed to be more willing to talk about Hsiao and admitted to causing their split.

The 23-year old actor initially stated that he has 'forgotten' about the reason of their breakup, but on a recent interview, although he had been quite tactful about how he should address the question, he revealed that his childishness caused the rift between them which later resulted to the end of their so-called May-December romance, Hsiao being 12 years older than Ko.

"In short, we had difference," the actor said. "I'm more childish and I used to care about unnecessary things." He later added that he had been quite stubborn while he was still in a relationship with the diva.

In addition, Ko shared that he got mad at the smallest issues and felt agitated over hearing about certain matters. He then jokingly stated, "I have a strong defense mechanism, like a hedgehog."

It could be cited from precious reports that he has slammed Hsiao on Facebook and as a result, has been accused of having emotional imbalance. However, Ko has owned up to his faults and assured the public that he is not as temperamental as he had been in the past, saying that he has learned not to be egotistic. Ko further stated that if he could turn back time, he believes that he would have been able to manage his relationship with Hsiao in a better way.

On the other hand, Ko has responded to the rumors regarding his relationship with Taiwanese singer Tia Li, saying that he and the singer are only good friends, sharing that he would meet up with her for friendly meals with a group of friends.

He later added that he did not confess to the singer just as the rumors claimed, and praised her, saying that Li is the ideal type of many men.
