The artist claimed that SM Entertainment used images and graphics without proper permission from the original artists that created them, including himself, Carlo Vega and Alexander Nusic.
SM Entertainment hired VM Productions to produce the teaser clip.
The video in question was taken down from YouTube after Soderberg made his claims, and discussions between the company and the artist ensued. Later, Soderberg withdrew his claims via his Twitter account, and stated that matters have been resolved.
"The video is back online and everything seems to be sorted out," Soderberg wrote. "Happy that Seo Dong Hyeok solved this fast and correctly."
SM Entertainment and VM Productions both clarified that they did not commit any form of plagiarism and that they had legally obtained the rights and permission to use the materials from the designers.
They said the allegations came as a surprise but that they had discussed the matter with the graphic designers in order to resolve the matter.
