Firefly Feature is the Chief Highlight of Amazon Fire Phone

This Wednesday when Amazon finally unveiled its long-rumored smartphone, Fire Phone, people couldn't help but wonder what features this phone would have to make it stand out from other popular smartphones. Well, Firefly is one such feature.
Firefly totally stole the show at the launch of the phone, and it was very well-deserved. In essence, however, the Firefly feature is not quite novel, but more like a collection of multiple existing smartphone features, all put into one.

It allows you to scan and tag movies and songs, thanks to IMDB.com, a company owned by Amazon itself. It also allows you to identity phone numbers and text printed on a paper.
Now, the backbone, the linchpin of Firefly is the product-recognition and barcode-scanning function. With Firefly, you can thus identify and check the prices of over 70 million products.
You can also then order them directly from Amazon, if they are cheap there, which will most likely be the case. The best part of Firefly is that it allows you to enjoy all these functions at the press of a single button.
Firefly, which seems quite a helpful feature to customers, is in reality designed to make it easier for people to buy from Amazon. It is a very smart move made by the company to provide a phone with attractive features, while in essence working as a buying machine for them.
But again, a person might think otherwise, and might even be right, if he or she can use the device wisely.
