Patty Hou has gladly given her well-wishes and blessings to ex-boyfriend Jay Chou on his marriage to Hannah Quinlivan, who tied the knot on Sunday.

Hou, who has just returned to work on January 13 after giving birth to a baby boy last year, gave the reaction after she was asked about Chou's wedding.

"Very happy. Give them unlimited blessings," Hou said, smiling, adding that she always faces her feelings positively.

"Everyone must face past and then let go," Hou said of her past relationship. She said she is not one who would hang on to what is over, nor does she avoid thinking and talking about it. If she ever meets Chou again, she said she would say hello to him.

Hou is still learning the ropes on her new role as a mother and admits to being nervous about taking care of her baby, whom she does not want to part with for more than four hours.

"If he is asleep and suddenly screams, I will go hug him as quickly as possible and ask 'are you scared'? But my husband will be very calm and wait for 2 minutes then go check," Hou revealed.

An insider who was privy to the relationship between Chou and Hou said they both loved each other during their time together.

Chou had often avoided answering questions about their relationship, which made Hou feel embarrassed in interviews and TV appearances. Hou was said to have considered marriage at that time, but Chou could not commit due to his work, so they broke up.

"If they were still together, they might have been married two or three years ago. But they all have found the appropriate one for each other," the insider said.

 "During the time I stayed home, I seldom watched TV and did not know what happened recently," Hou said, while declining to answer any further questions about Chou and Quinlivan.

"But there will be many good things in 2015. Bless you all," she ended.
