About 30 minutes passed when a vehicle tried to pass the outer perimeter fence. The driver of the vehicle is being questioned if he was involved in the shooting.
Authorities also scoured outside the VP's house and nearby homes to find out if the bullets hit their units. The Secret Service and New Castle County Police are investigating the incident.
The Secret Agents found no bullets rounds in the Biden house which is actually several hundred yards from the main road where the shots were fired.
The VP and his wife, Jill, were not at home when the incident happened, but they have been informed about it.
