Celebrities earn big bucks and with all the money that they have, they are among the last people whom you think would make an effort to make thrifty choices. But here are 12 celebrities that are living and spending like just the rest of us.
Although celebs might choose to stay in penthouses and in suites, actor Jackie Chan and model-actress Tyra Banks have been very open about stocking up on free hotel shampoos, soaps and even shower caps. When Jackie was asked why, he said that growing up, he had no soap. So it is difficult for him to see the freebies in hotel go to waste. As for Tyra, she has always been known for saying, "I'm frugal. I've always been this way."

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who is worth billions of dollars choose to drive his Volkswagen GTI to his office. The car is worth only US$23,000 to US$30,000 and won as Yahoo Autos Car of the Year for 2015 for being budget and eco-friendly. Redskins' Alfred Morris shows up to practice using his 1991 Mazda 626. Unlike other athletes who are eager to upgrade their rides after securing a contract, Morris is said to be extremely content with his car and revealed, "It just keeps me grounded, where I came from, and all the hard work for me to get to this point. So that's what helps me." Thanks to the publicity Morris' was able to give Mazda, the company refurbished his sedan for free in return.
While celebrities can afford to dine at luxurious restaurants every day, some of them like Selena Gomez and Justin Timberlake have always been fans of fast food joints. Selena's favorite is reportedly Jack in the Box and Justin celebrated at Taco Bell last year after winning several People's Choice Awards.
Many celebrities make their weddings as grand as possible, but Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard chose to have a city hall wedding only spending a total of US$142. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos spent an amount a little bit higher than Kristen and Dax's. They took advantage of the "I Do Service" in Las Vegas, which starts at around US$145.
With all their money, celebrities can afford to have multiple homes in different places. But Twilight star Taylor Lautner prefers to live at home with his folks, despite earning US$25 million for Breaking Dawn alone. Just like Taylor, tennis player, Rafael Nadal who is worth millions, also choose to return to his home in Spain.
