There's an app specifically designed for use by gay males in China.
This app known as Blue City not only makes dating easier for gay Chinese men, but also allows them to meet new people and make new friends.
Danlan.org is a website that gives male gays a place where they can feel safe when sharing their experiences. The founder, Ma Baoli, explained it was through this website that he conceived the concept of Blue City. The app has received US$30 million in funding from DCM Ventures.

So what makes Blue City special?
Reuters said the app allows Chinese gays to send private messages to gay app users looking for companionship. Blue City is a free app that uses a smartphone's GPS feature.
It's a lot like Tinder, which is a very popular dating app in many countries, particularly in the United States. The Chinese app uses the GPS capability to search for other members nearby. Group chatrooms and private messaging are some of the app's key features.
