Kuratas creator, Kogoro Kurata spent years developing the mech suit.  Kuratas towers at nearly 12 ½ feet, and weighs around five tons.  The robot is armed with BB Gatling guns that can fire 6,000 rounds a minute that is activated by a pilot's smile.  However, buyers will have to shell out more money if they want the arms as well.  The basic Kuratas package does not include the BB Gatling guns.  Driving the robot is slow as it has only a top speed of 10 kilometers per hour.

The pilot has the options of controlling Kuratas via inside the cockpit or controls it remotely using a 3G wireless device.  The Kuratas is equipped with the V-Sido operating system. According to the Kuratas YouTube clip, Kuratas has an engine and runs on diesel.  Aside from the BB Gatling gun, it also has various "harmless" weapon systems like LOHAS Launcher.

The clip describes it as "eco-friendly and safe for humans".  Kuratas however, can be driven in either a high or low position.  Driving it in an elevated mode will enable the pilot to have a clearer view of the surrounding areas.  Firing the BB Gatling guns with just a smile is surely a unique feature of this Japanese Mech Suit.  It also features automatic alignment that will enable you lock on any target you choose.
