Icelandic singing sensation Björk surprised fans after she released her latest album, Vulnicura on iTunes. A week ago, the singer announced in handwriting of the plans for its March release. News of the album's leak last weekend must have prompted her to release her tracks.

Bjork revealed on Facebook that she wrote six of the album's nine tracks herself. She also co-wrote two with Arca - who produced Kanye West and FKA Twigs, and one with Spaces.
The eccentric artist also wrote, in another Facebook post, about the details of the album. She said she spent one year writing it, only to realized that what she was doing was actually "a complete heartbreak album" detailed with "emotional chronology."
The singer was initial hesitant that her work would seem self-indulgent but then "felt it might make it even more universal."
"And hopefully the songs could be a help, a crutch to others and prove how biological this process is: The wound and the healing of the wound. Psychologically and physically, it has a stubborn clock attached to it," she continued.
Bjork is slated to perform at the Governors Ball festival in June. The singer is also booked for six intimate New York city shows, although it is not yet know whether she will take on a series of tours to promote her album.
Bjork is also slated to open her own Museum of Modern Art exhibition in New York this March. Here is the complete list of tracks of her album:
1. "Stonemilker"
2. "Lionsong"
3. "History of Touches"
4. "Black Lake"
5. "Family"
6. "Notget"
7. "Atom Dance" (featuring Antony Hegarty)
8. "Mouth Mantra"
9. "Quicksand"
