Defending champion British Andy Murray is back home in the grass courts of Wimbledon and on center stage as he dismantles opponent Belgian David Goffin in three straight sets.

With 27-year-old Murray's grandparents watching in the Royal Box, Murray walks out of the dugout to a standing ovation, wearing all-white attire. He displayed his perfect form cruising the first two sets 6-1 6-4 before taking Goffin down on the third 7-5.

"I enjoyed it for the walk to the chair. Then when I sat down, it was time to get on with business," said Murray.

"I was nervous yesterday. I was probably a bit more nervous yesterday than I was today. But it does help if you can get ahead early, like I did at the beginning of the match, I got an early break, that helped settle them down a little bit," Murray added.

104th seed Goffin gave Murray a run for his money on the third set but then came Murray's chance to close the match, and with the roar of the crowds, he delivers with a scorching forehand shot.

"I thought it was a very high-standard match. I was glad to finish it in three," Murray said.

Third seed Murray will face Slovenia's Blaz Rola in the second round after defeating Pablo Andujar of Spain in three sets 6-3 6-1 6-4.

Three-time Australian Open champion and World No. 1 Serbian Novak Djokovic, the man Murray defeated in last year's Wimbledon, is also up for par as he crushes Kazakhstani Andrey Golubev also in three straight sets, 6-0 6-1 6-4.

Seven-time Wimbledon champion and fourth seed Swiss Roger Federer will play against Paolo Lorenzi of Italy and nine-time French Open clay court specialist and World No. 2 Spaniard Rafael Nadal will be up against Slovak Martin Klizan Tuesday in their first round of play.
