Anne Hathaway is slated to make her stage comeback this year as she plays a more challenging role, this time as an Air Force fighter pilot in a one-woman stage show.

The story centers about the war and the difficulty imposed on a woman who seeks balance between work and home life. Hathaway portrays the role of a fighter pilot, which was reassigned to a remote-controlled drone. Here, she suffers 12-hour shifts while looking for targets in her Air Force trailer. She then has to endure another 12 hours going home to her family in the suburbs. The play already has had its run in New York in 2014, at Walkerspace in TriBeCa starring Hannah Cabell.

Hathaway, who grabbed the Oscar for best supporting actress for her role in the movie adaptation of Les Miserables, first appeared on stage at the Public in the 2009 stage production  of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

Creative Tony winning Julie Taymor is slated to direct the stage play, which is slated to run in the Anspacher Theater through May 17.

Aside from her critically acclaimed portrayal as Fantine in Les Miserables, Hathaway's other unforgettable screen performances were in the motion pictures Interstellar, The Dark Knight Rises, Rachel Getting Married, The Devil Wears Prada and The Princess Diaries.
