(Photo : Microsoft) Microsoft has launched an 84-inch all-in-one PC for the enterprise, named the Surface Hub.

Microsoft officially announced the Surface Hub, an 84-inch 4K display for the business sector, focused on video conferences and presentations.

The display is essentially a showcase for anything that needs to be shown on a large screen. Users will be able to connect the Surface Hub to any Windows device and even the iPad, using a Chromecast technology to project the display onto the 84-inch screen.

Microsoft has installed various Kinect sensors into the Surface Hub, allowing it to pick up audio from various speakers in the room, and recognize dozens of people.

The Surface Hub is centered in the workplace, with the new annotation features allowing workers to use the display as a digital whiteboard, something that could be pushed into the education market.

Microsoft acquired Perceptive Pixel in 2012, which sold huge displays to CNN and Fox News. This looks like the fruit of the acquisition, a larger and high-pixel large display with more Windows and corporate integration.

It is questionable how such a large device will sell in the business market, and Microsoft may need to go easy on the price, considering Perceptive Pixel sold its own displays for $80,000 a unit.

Microsoft did not announce any other Surface or Lumia devices at its Windows 10 event, but the company launched a range of new services, including Cortana on the desktop, Project Spartan web browser and Windows Holographic.
