Johnny Depp is greatly known for taking on strange roles with bizarre antics and personalities, and his reputation for being somewhat strange in real life precedes him.
During the premiere of the new comedy Mortdecai, at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, ET's Jason Dundas was able to chat a bit with the star, where Johnny admits that he is a little odd.

When Jason asked him about whether Lily-Rose, Johnny's daughter, helped him develop his character in the movie-the same way she helped him learn how to play Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-Johnny said that he didn't help her this time.
Johnny revealed, "She was probably too embarrassed to help me with another character." Johnny continued, smiling, "She thinks her dad's weird."
Jason replied and said, "Oh come on! Her dad's an artist."
But Johnny laughed it off and said, "Uh, her dad's weird, I think."
Whether Johnny is indeed weird or not in real life, he has able to make some of the most iconic and unforgettable characters come to life. From playing Edward Scissorhands to Jack Sparrow, Johnny has always been able to play his roles with charisma.
So how does he do it? Johnny said, "I think with any character, you've got to put some of yourself in there. But mostly, it's kind of nice just to not have to be yourself sometimes."
In his new movie, Johnny plays a charming and mischievous art dealer in search of a stolen piece of art. Mortdecai will be shown on theaters on January 23.
