On June 11, Sun had announced that she was down with the flu, but despite persistent rumors that the entertainer was still not well enough to perform, she insisted on taking the stage on Saturday.
According to Sun and her manager, it was precisely this which caused the singer to faint after she exited the stage to the cheers of thousands of fans.
Photographs showed the young woman being carried away by a burly-looking man who is presumed to be her bodyguard. An image of Sun looking weak and exhausted and being pushed in a wheelchair has also been circulating the web.
Fans immediately showed concern for the music star and questioned whether Sun was working too hard. She was immediately lauded for her professionalism and desire to push through with the concert despite not feeling well.
After being hospitalized, it was revealed that Sun hadn't fully recovered from the flu and was battling exhaustion as well. However, after spending a day recovering, the entertainer is supposedly back to her normal self:
"After spending the whole day in bed, I am back to life!" Sun posted on micro-blogging site Weibo. "Thank you for your concern! This happened because I hadn't recovered fully from the flu. But I can now go back to Singapore to see my baby! I'm happy."
The improvement in Sun's health comes just in time for the star's Singaporean fans who are looking forward to her breaking in Singapore's new National Stadium with her concert on July 5.
