The average salary of college graduates in Beijing is 4746 Yuan

This year, Beijing ranks second to Shanghai on the average salary of college graduates. Average salary in Beijing is 4746 Yuan comparing to 4859 Yuan in Shanghai. On June 16th, "2013 Beijing college graduates employment situation report" was released, Beijing college graduates' competitiveness ranks fifth among the major cities. Most college graduates are interested in listed companies and state-owned enterprises. There are fierce competitions in energy and manufacture fields.

Figures show according to competition index of finding jobs, Beijing ranks fifth, after Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Suzhou and Shanghai. The competition index of Beijing is 96, which is 19 lower than Guangzhou.

Traditional Popular Cities are still college graduates' first choices. Metropolises are still college graduates' wonder worlds. Therefore, it causes fierce competitions in the metropolises.

According to the employment situation report, the top five cities with the highest average salary are Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hangzhou. Average salary in Beijing is 4746 Yuan; this number is 4859 Yuan in Shanghai.

Listed companies and state-owned enterprises are college graduates' favorite choices. Although the required amounts of graduates in listed companies is very small, the competition is tougher. The required amounts of graduates in state-owned enterprises are relatively larger; a lot of people want to find jobs there.

The amount of jobs in privately held companies is the most in percentage. However, college graduates don't show much interest in privately held companies because these companies are lack of reputation and less in scale.

Reports show that the top three most competitive majors are energy& petroleum processing, manufacturing& instrumentation devices, wholesale&retail. There are fierce competitions in these fields. However the competitions in IT& Computer Communications are less.

"Practice makes perfect," an expert advised on finding a dream job. "It might not always be practical to learn your answers like an actor learns lines, but you should certainly have considered the rough outlines of how you will answer any given type of question. You need therefore to write down the questions you expect to be asked and then an effective answer for each."
