A rarely seen shark got the attention of the fishermen in Australia the moment they pulled out their nets the previous week.
The ugly creature is a freaky thing you wouldn't dare to show to your children before they go to sleep, said Simon Boag, chief executive officer at South East Trawl Fishing Association.

Chlamydoselachus anguineus or the frilled shark is known as a living fossil. The frilled shark has six pairs of frilly-like gill slit and known as one of only a few archaic sharks. The species are known to have existed 80 million years ago.
The shark has an eel-like body some six feet in length and has an about 300 needled-shaped teeth. It captures its prey by bending its body since the shark does have flexible jaw and is capable of eating its prey in whole. Frilled sharks can dive to a depth of over 2,300 feet.
Many of the fishermen remain shocked by the monstrosity since this shark is unlike any other fish they've seen.
"I've been at sea for 30 years and I've never seen a shark that looks like that," Boag said. "It was like a large eel, probably 1.5 meters [5 feet] long, and the body was quite different to any other shark I'd ever seen".A rarely seen shark got the attention of the fishermen in Australia the moment they pulled out their nets the previous week.
