"Dark Horse" singer, Katy Perry is going to perform at this year's Super Bowl Halftime Show and a lot of people are already predicting that it is definitely going to be a show to remember. Time magazine predicts that Katy's performance would be a huge hit, as long she sings her most popular songs.

"Sorry to anyone who's hoping for a Prism reissue with new songs: This set is likely to be about Perry's past legacy. Perry can emerge from the big game a champion-she already has the raw materials-so why should her playbook include any risks?"
Beyoncé performed last 2013, while Bruno mars took the stage last year and Katy Perry knows that she has a lot to live up to. Bruno Mars received a lot of praise for his successful show. Critics admired Beyonce's performance, although fans were less enthusiastic about it.
Asked about how Katy feels about performing for the Super Bowl, she reveals, "Honestly? I feel like I've outdreamt my dream. I don't get nervous about it much, but I'll definitely be a little tingly inside that day." In that interview, she also talked about how she realized her dreams at the young age of nine. "Everybody would be going about their business, and then all of a sudden their heads would turn when I would start singing. It was this magic trick that I had. I guess I loved that attention. And I went for it.
Like every performer who performed at the Super Bowl, Katy also has her fair share of detractors. There are some who say that Katy is on her way out, simply because her most recent album, Prism, didn't do as well as Teenage Dream. But Billboard's Jason Lipshutz thinks otherwise. "Teenage Dream is only the second album ever to produce five No. 1 Hot 100 singles; it's essentially a once-in-a-lifetime achievement. With that in mind, Prism has come a lot closer to duplicating that success than Katy (or anybody) could have hoped for."
Katy may be putting her career on the line by performing at one of the world's biggest entertainment events. Some performers careers' like Janet Jackson and Black Eyed Peas have taken a hit due to sub-par performances. But if she pulls this off, then it would definitely be another milestone in her career.
Watch out for the Super Bowl and Katy Perry's performance on February 1.
