Following the news that Taiwanese actress Tammy Chen has accepted the proposal of her plastic surgeon boyfriend, Xue Boren, reports have surfaced that Xue is still married and has not yet divorced his wife.

Only three months since they've started dating, Xue has popped the question to Chen which she gladly said yes to, however, tabloids have released reports which claimed that the 38-year old plastic surgeon is allegedly still married and has yet to divorce his wife.

An unidentified source, who claimed to be Xue's neighbor, has stated that his alleged former wife confided that they have not yet been legally divorced. When the news broke out, the media swarmed the plastic surgeon's office, asking for his reaction on said claims, but his assistants have barred them from entering. The assistants stated to the media that it is 'inconvenient' for Xue to speak to them and further added that they know nothing about his personal life.

The media has also contacted Xue's father in order to confirm the legitimacy of the claims, but he refused to give his comments on the matter. On the one hand, one of Xue's sisters allegedly told the media that her brother has been divorced for two years now and she herself aided the divorce proceedings.

Xue's sister refused to comment further about the matter, saying that she hopes for her niece and nephew to grow up in a normal environment despite the controversies that surrounds Xue.

Chen's manager has then confirmed to have heard of the rumors and immediately affirmed that Xue's documents show that the spouse column is blank, attesting to the fact that he is single.

On the one hand, after it has been discovered that Xue had a wife and two children - a daughter and a son - it has been previously reported that Chen has released a statement saying that she only agreed to engage into a relationship with the surgeon after confirming that he was single. In addition, she asked for the public's blessing and wished for the media to give her and her new beau space.

Furthermore, Chen stated that she supported her fiancé and claimed that she does not mind his history.
