Popular crowdsourcing site Kickstarter has replaced Amazon with a new payments processor. The new firm that will be responsible for processing all the payments (or funding) made to the company is Stripe.
Stripe, like many of the projects funded through Kickstarter, is also a startup company valued at US$3.5 billion. It's an online payments service known for its flexibility and ease of setup.

Geek Wire said there were various reasons for the change in the payments processor, but the primary ones appear to be international support and online account approval methodologies.
Stripe is being used by many other big names in the industry. These include Apple, Facebook and Twitter, with the last two being the leaders in the social media networking industry.
Kickstarter has made an official announcement regarding the move. It said the change was due to the removal of Amazon's Flexible Payments Service, a feature that used to enable companies to create and follow their own processes.
Amazon's newest Login and Pay service isn't as flexible as the people from Kickstarter want.
