Classic Star War Games Now Playable in Digital Format

Fans of the classic "Star War" games will have another chance to reminiscence and play them again.  GOG.com, the digital game store, is now offering old "Star War' games.

The list is quite extensive and includes games like "Galactic Battlegrounds Saga," "X-Wing Alliance," "X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter," "Dark Forces," "Battlefront II' as well as "Knights of the Old Republic", which is a Role Playing Game (RPG).

Some of these "Star Wars" classics are already available on other game outlets such as Steam.  GOG.com; however, offers these games on Windows devices like the PC.  Players will also be glad to know these games are free of any digital rights management (DRM) issues.

GOG has just signed a new contract with Disney, the new owner of the "Star Wars" franchise.  Aside from classic "Star Wars" games, the online store also offers various classics such as "Alone in The Dark," "Syndicate and Thief" series.

An upcoming game -- "Star Wars: Battlefront III" has rekindled interest in this space saga that started in a galaxy far, far away.

GOG is an online digital store that offers classic and modern games plus movies, usually without DRM or copy protection issues. 

The site also offers full compatibility with Windows XP, Vista and even Windows 7.  The games and movies can also run on Linux and the Mac OS X version 10.6 and up. 

According to its site, its products are available to anyone around the globe. Customers can pay through credit card, PayPal or paysafecard. 

Since the game or movie is DRM free, customers can download and install it on any computer as many times as they want.
