After 10 years and more than 120 episodes, it looks like the nightmare is coming to an end, Kitchen Nightmares, that is. Blunt TV chef Gordon Ramsay has decided to cease production on the series which focuses on restaurant renovations, he announced on his personal website on Monday.

"I've had a phenomenal 10 years making 123 episodes, 12 seasons, shot across 2 continents, watched by tens of millions of people and sold to over 150 countries. It's been a blast but it's time to call it a day," the chef wrote in a post on the site.

Restaurant Nightmares first premiered in the UK in 2004 and showed Ramsay traveling the globe to rehabilitate restaurants and their owners. Three years later, the US launched its own version of the show, bringing the bold chef's dynamic personality to American shores.

The show had a few memorable moments, one of which was Chef Ramsay's visit to Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, AZ. In the Season 6 episode, Gordon's straight-forward nature collided with the emotionally over-the-top personalities of the company's two owners, creating some epic and delectably delicious Ramsay-style drama.

Gordon Ramsay will be filming four more episodes of the show for Channel 4 in the UK before calling it quits, and the chef is grateful to the opportunities Kitchen Nightmares has provided him with:

"This was the show that really propelled my TV career," Gordon wrote. "I'm glad I've been able to entertain and hopefully help a few people along the way."

However, this won't be the last fans will see of one of the world's most popular TV chefs, Ramsay still plans on keeping his other franchises going, at least for the time being. Followers can look forward to new episodes and seasons of Hell's Kitchen, Hotel Hell, MasterChef, and MasterChef Junior.
