DayZ Reaches 3 Million Sales Despite Delays To Final Version

Bohemia Interactive has announced 3 million sales for its early access DayZ zombie survival game.
Bohemia Interactive has announced more than 3 million sales of DayZ since hitting Steam's 'Early Access' program in December 2013.
Originally a mod for ARMA, Bohemia released a standalone version in alpha stage, allowing gamers to buy in and work on the video game, while trying some of the early features.

The zombie survival game offers a massive map and a lack of any real game structure, allowing people to scavenge for resources and fight or ally with other players on the server.
This loose approach has allowed for some excellent videos, but many DayZ players claim the experience is quite boring after a while, especially because people enjoy staying on one server and killing almost anyone with their superior weapons.
Alongside the repeated delays from Bohemia, lots of the early adopters are losing interest in the zombie survival, alongside a few activatively demoting it due to poor in-game updates throughout 2014.
Bohemia did update its plan for an official launch, saying it will add a variety of features in 2015 to beef up the game's overall experience and then launch it in 2016.
Zombie survival is one of the most oversaturated markets in the gaming industry right now, with H1Z1 garnering a poor reputation on arrival after Sony Entertainment launched the early access game with microtransactions, alongside a host of bugs.
