Looking back on the year that was 2014, Edwin recalled that falling in love with Priscilla was the greatest reward. The two paired together on the set of Madam Cutie on Duty .

"Unlike many female actresses who cannot withstand hardships or who focus too much on beauty, she is a very simple girl," she said.

Edwin admired Priscilla for her low-key attitude.  He said she always saw her without makeup and she only sleeps for a few hours a day during filming. Even when she fell sick, she continued working. She is very hardworking. I observed that she was friendly with crew members. Knowing the strenuous behind-the-scenes work, she'll buy food for everyone. All these little things made me notice her more."

Early in their relationship, the couple was faced with criticism, which saw Priscilla being labeled as the third party in the relationship of Edwin and his former gal, Gigi Ho.

"The reports were so bad that it really affected her mood." Edwin noted.

 "Every time the media writes about it, she gets very unhappy and thinks, 'Have they written enough yet?' However, each time we overcome an obstacle, our relationship evolves."

While it is Edwin's plans to have  family in the future, still, it is important to establish his career first before anything else.

The couple has also remained low-key in their relationship. The couple preferred walking on the beach, rather than going on expensive dates.

Edwin emerged as one of the most promising singers of his generation but one controversial statement against fellow singer, Juno Mak, in 2003, caused the initially decline of his career. He eventually managed to stage a successful comeback after signing with TVB.
