Miley Cyrus' "Bangerz" Album Scores A Grammy Nomination: Says She Didn't Believe It

Miley Cyrus is working on her new album and while we are all excited for the release of her new tunes, let us first celebrate her album "Bangerz".
The "Wrecking Ball" singer's album scored a Grammy nomination for "Best Pop Vocal Album" but in an interview with ET, the starlet revealed that, "I thought it was a joke. My friend was in my room and said, 'Hey! You just got nominated for a Grammy,' and I was like, 'You're kidding... there's no way.' I googled and I was like 'Oh yeah! I am, I actually am!'"

But despite being nominated, Miley says she's trying not to get too excited about bringing home the trophy. When asked if she was ready for one of music's biggest events, she explained, "I don't know. I'm pretty mellow with that kind of stuff... I'm not a pessimist but I'm just saying I won't be crying myself to sleep if I don't win a Grammy. You know?"
Miley also added that she's working extremely hard on a follow-up album to Bangerz. "I'm trying to get this stuff out ASAP. I'm working on it!" The 22 year-old singer said.
"I'm in the studio every day at my house," she added.
She also explained that the cause of the delay on the songwriting was simply because she wants her tracks to be fresh and candid.
"Just when I think I have my record done, something new happens where I want to write about it," she said. "I just, I don't know what I want to go out there."
Fans of the star might have noticed that she often posts photos of Madonna on her Instagram and the reason for that is that there might be a possible duet on her new album.
She knows that everyone wants it. And she added, "We did something together earlier in the year. We'll get back at it for sure."
